Hi, I'm Austin Horne!
I am a photographer, filmmaker, musician and journalist whose work explores the relationship between sound, image and story. Rooted in Alabama and shaped by my background in music, I use photography and video to document performance, portraiture, student life and community-centered stories.
My practice is built around attention — to rhythm, light, gesture, atmosphere and emotion. Whether I am photographing a live event, creating portraits or producing video work, I aim to make images that feel honest, intentional and alive. I see the camera as a tool for listening, preserving memory and helping people feel seen.
